Yet another successful How to be an Interpreter event!

terptree ran another exciting and informative session on how to be an interpreter. The session was well attended and covered issues such as the variety of work that is involved in interpreting, how to prepare for bookings to areas such as suitable clothing for working with Deaf people.

Victoria Williams, Director of terptree said "It is such a pleasure to run these sessions and see the enthusiasm that BSL students have for the interpreting profession. Based on the interest that we have at these events, the numbers of interpreters will steadily increase for many years to come!".

Attendees enjoyed listening to the first hand experience of an interpreter, interacting with everyone in a relaxed environment and found it useful in clarifying their direction.

terptree decided to run these sessions after many enquiries from BSL students - asking What would I need to do to become an interpreter. Come to one of our sessions and see what all the fuss is about! Sign up to our newsletter to get news of the next date which will be later on this year.
